Projects
Here you can find a number of projects that I have been involved in. My passion in digital creativity is sometimes rough and
careless, sometimes tirelessly perfectionistic. For some reason, I like all sorts of expressions, particularly digital ones.
Not wanting to miss the web revolution, I hereby present to you some small excerpts of my life, and I hope there is some value
in it for you somewhere. Remember, all this work is copyrighted. Thanks for stopping by!
Plunge
Somewhere in october 2005, I started keeping a
blog up to date, which first was called 'Echoes of M31',
and later on was renamed 'Plunge'.
Take a look if you don`t mind that the deluded thoughts of a chaotic loner may not even teach you things. I hope you enjoy it!
Work
Among other jobs that I've done with great interest, I always have been very passionate about game development for obvious reasons.
The technology that is involved usually has very different objectives and challenges that require constantly evolving
software solutions, something which you usually will not encounter in more traditional IT work. Here's a bit of an overview of the
productions I've been involved in at some point.
- PC: Vip2 (IIM/Djungo)
- XBOX: Xyanide (Playlogic)
- PS2: Wizard of Funk -- cancelled (Playlogic)
- UDK2: Project Delta -- cancelled (Playlogic)
- Sun UltraSparc: R&D-IT FP6 (EU-RTD)
- Java: 2 3D clinical applications (Agfa HealthCare)
- PC: Pacman Tilt (10Colonies)
- XBOX360: Divinity 2: Ego Draconis (Larian)
- XBOX360: Divinity 2: Flames of Vengeance (Larian)

Foto album [JPG]
Here are a few old foto albums I threw online.. I really should update this and add tons of new stuff some time.
Music [MP3]
The 80ies and the 90ies left me with some excellent musical memories. During my teens, I spent a lot of time in front of
our home computer trying to squeeze out a few melodies of my own using obscure tracker programs and all sorts of wave
synthesizers. In total I composed over 70 tunes. The early tunes sound like I was on some dark psychological rescue mission
of my teenage soul, but the latter ones occasionally still force a smile on my face :)
All of them are in some way special to me, but I highlighted the ones I like most just to make it easier for you to digest.
Comments are always welcome!
Short Story [PDF]
When I find the time, I ponder on writing short stories. And sometimes I even write them. Crazy bits of nonsense that
symbolise something that happened in my life, or that is someday sure to be bound to happen. Nothing like a good
metaphor to land your teeth in, right? :) Well, see if you can make something out of this..
Poem [PDF]
Unintended combinations of language fragments foster creativity in our imaginary world. Since language indicates the limits to our
reasoning, poems are an attempt to exceed above what is normal, to imagine the unexistant. Feed your mind, beware of indigestion.
This is of course a rough selection of my substanceless-induced(!) insanity.
Custom Website Design [HTML / PHP / JScript / JAVA / XML / SQL / AJAX / ...]
For friends and for special occasions, I can build you a website, especially tailored to your specific needs. I don't plan on making this a regular activity, but
if you need a special website for a special event, or for other purouses like photos, movies, research activities, etc.. you can always contact me and
ask me very nicely. I have a large number of technologies available to build a very specific website, including database - based content generation and capturing.
Jira & P4W
This is more a personal note, because the projects are not made public yet. I've set up a (local for now) try out version of JIRA on my system to track
all issues related to projects in which I am currently involved. Jira is an issue tracking management system and should allow me to build an inventory
on all the issues that still remain in the IXX development tree. This will not be publicly available unless I find more interest in the forthcoming
BinaryColonies project I will be developing. Similarly I`ve set up a Perforce tree that includes most (but not all) of the sources I`ve been busy
with. When BinaryColonies gathers more interest (after I`ve built the website) the plan is to push these tools to everybody that likes to
participate.
Binary Colonies
This is intended to gather creative people in digital art together, and push development of projects that make artists and their art stand out. We recently released
our very first game, a Pacman clone at BC's 2-year anniversary. Check it out
right here!
Plans for BC to produce a game for XBox Live Arcade or Sony's Games 3.0 platform are currently on hold, but we are continuing development on PC.
We are interested to hear your business proposal for producing games and game content, and will be happy to discuss the possibilities.
We currently do not have any vacancies but if you are passionate about games want to help out, feel free to let us know! Candidates preferrably live or want to move to Ghent (Belgium),
have a strong gaming background / development experience, and believe in slow but steady growth business scenario.
